The Bayernfeige Violetta was discovered in Bavaria. It produces a breba and a main crop of beautiful reddish-brown figs that are large. It is extremely productive, especially with 8 hours of direct sunlight in the summer. The Bayernfeige Violetta’s flesh is amber and is very sweet with a sugary, honey figginess.
It is cold hardy to 0° to -6° and is self-fruitful.
It bears fruit 1-2 years after planting. At maturity, the trees grow to 8-15 feet in height but can be smaller with pruning.
Cuttings will have a length between 6-10 inches long and contain a minimum of 3 nodes. Thickness will be a minimum of pencil thick. Cuttings will be fully lignified unless otherwise stated.
